Dowel laminated timber represents solid, flat timber construction elements that are used not only in single or multi-family houses but also in extensive large-scale construction projects.
Our DLT wall and ceiling elements are made from individual wooden slats, which are joined together without glue, using a hardwood dowel.
The beech dowel, with a wood moisture content of about 6%, is precisely driven into the slats, which have a moisture content of 12%. The swelling of the dowels, which absorb the moisture from the slats, creates an irreversible clamping effect that leads to remarkable strength.
Our dowel laminated timber is a natural wood product and free of harmful substances.
